At first, it is seemingly difficult to have everybody joined the camp because of financial constraints and other so called hindrances. But with God nothing is indeed difficult, almost everyone of us participated the Family Camp all because God is at work. We arrived the venue Friday afternoon , there were 23 couples, 15 siungles and 10 children occupying the dormitory. The opening ceremony then started at nearly six oclock in the function hall of Villa Arcadia after a snack served by Sis Susan , the ever active in-charge of the food commmittee. In a short while, everyone went back to their quarters to prepare for dinner and the night fellowship. Since it is a family camp, the main bjective is to strengthen the family for we all knew the basic unit of the church and the society and that it has a very vital role to play in shaping the destiny of our nation. Each family should be stongly founded in God for when tough time comes, it will stand up strong and remain intact to emerge victorious aganist the test of times. As the popular proverb says " A family that prays together stays together" every session focuses on family matters , the first topic was Biblical Perspective of marriage, God's viewpoint of marriage and the constructive response of both husband and wife in a form of prayer. Evening discussion ended happily having been refreshed with God's word . Dawn breaks and everyone got up early for a morning |
devotion and physical exercise which helped maintain our stamina for a day of more activity. Some went swimming and have fun playing beach vollyeball while children build small sand castles. Time for breakfast and we enjoyed eating the delicious tocino, firend eggs , hotdog and fried rice. All of us had a great breakfast together and pretty excited to face another series of discussions in a day. We begin praising and worshipping God led by Bro. Roel and his angels, followed by a special song. Pastor Ricky lone resource person in the camp strongly commented on Stremgthening the Filipino fam, ily; How to develop closer family relationship; Role of Husband and wife in a successful marriage. Sharing of experience where then the ice breaker of the session. A little disaggreement arise between husbands and wife when the topic Role of Husband and wife was elaborated. They argued in some points as to what should be the first , it is the husband to love their wives first befroe the wife will submit to their husbands or vice versa? It was a healhty argument for both and priase God it boils down to whoever is matured enough is the first one to do so. The affair commenced with a closing program where we hear parting words and impressions. It was commensurate to know such activity can really have a a significant impact in the lives of people. |
