มันจะไม่เหยียบสองร้อยเจ้าได้อย่างไรคะ..ในเมื่อเขามีการชิมกันสามวัน สามคืน.. เพียงแต่..เฉพาะวันพฤหัสนั้นคือ สองร้อยห้าสิบ.(ซื้อตั๋วแยกได้ อันนี้ไปแน่ๆ เพราะจะต้องไปธุระที่ซาน ฟรานด้วยในวันนั้น..) ส่วนอีกสองวันต่อมานั้น..บริษัทซื้อบัตรไว้แล้วสี่ใบ (ใบละพันกว่า เอาไปหักภาษีได้) แต่เชื่อไหมเชื่อว่า
ยังเกี่ยงกันอยู่ว่าใครจะไป
เนื่องจากต้องไปรอนแรมนอนค้างถึงสองสามวัน
ชิมไวน์แบบซ้ำซากกับปีที่แล้วๆมา..(ค่าใช้จ่ายเรื่องที่พักและอื่นๆ
ออกเงินเอง)
และจากประสบการณ์ของการชิมแบบนี้..บอกตรงๆค่ะ ไม่สนุก
เข้าข่ายทรมานตัวเองมาก
กลับมาทำงานไม่ได้ไปหลายวัน..(คุณวิโรจคงเข้าใจในความรู้สึกดี)
DAY TWO Friday, October 20, 2006 • MORNING
Part I 9:00 am - 9:15 am Welcome
and Preview of the 2006 California Wine Experience in San Francisco,
Marvin R. Shanken, Editor & Publisher, Wine Spectator, New York
City.
Part II 9:15 am - 10:15 am Pinot Noir Tasting. A
tasting of 10 Pinot Noir wines from Burgundy, California, Oregon and
New Zealand to compare regional styles. These are all high-scoring, in-
demand wines, shaped by winemakers with their own vision of what they
want to create. Wine Spectator senior editors James Laube and Bruce
Sanderson with Harvey Steiman, editor at large, will be onstage to talk
about the wines as we taste them together.
Part III 10:15 am - 10:45 am Secrets
of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Matt Kramer, contributing editor, Wine
Spectator, probes the small-production, high-impact wines of Santa Cruz
Mountain. Kramer presents examples of what he declares is the "absolute
uniqueness" of Santa Cruz Mountain Cabernet, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Part IV 10:45 am - 12:15 pm "The
Four Chefs" Tasting. Back for a "threepeat," the "Four Chefs" present a
wine and food pairing led by Thomas Matthews, executive editor, Wine
Spectator. Each will present a signature dish matched with accompanying
wines. These renowned chefs are Mario Batali, Babbo, New York; Emeril
Lagasse, Emeril's, New Orleans; Wolfgang Puck, Spago, Los Angeles and
Charlie Trotter, Charlie Trotter's, Chicago.
• LUNCHEON 12:15 pm - 1:45 pm A
Taste of Italy Lunch. A delicious luncheon created by an Italian guest
chef who has designed a menu to highlight a variety of interesting,
high-scoring wines from the great wine growing regions of Italy. You
will have an opportunity to taste and compare these wines in an
informal setting.
• AFTERNOON Part V 1:45 pm - 3:15 pm Napa
Valley Cabernet Tasting. James Laube, senior editor, Wine Spectator,
moderates a tasting of 10 top-scoring hard to get wines from ten
California "cult" wineries. The winemakers and/or owners will be
onstage to taste and comment as the audience tastes each wine. The
wines are:

evening giving you the opportunity to taste all the wines offered.

Part I 9:00 am - 10:30 am Wine
Spectator's Top Ten Tasting. A tasting of the 2005 Top Ten wines as
selected by the Wine Spectator board of editors and published in the
December 31, 2005 issue—an annual highlight. The wines are:

winery owner or winemaker will be onstage commenting on his wine and
giving his perspective as we taste. The tasting will be led by James
Suckling, senior editor, European bureau chief, Wine Spectator and
James Molesworth, senior editor, Wine Spectator.
Part II 10:30 am - 11:30 am Drouhin
Tasting. A tasting of 10 wines from Maison Joseph Drouhin presented by
legendary Burgundy vintner Robert Drouhin. Wines to be tasted include
four vintages of Joseph Drouhin Montrachet Marquis de Laguiche and six
vintages of Joseph Drouhin Beaune Clos des Mouches going back to 1976.
Bruce Sanderson, senior editor, tasting director, Wine Spectator, leads
the tasting.
Part III 11:30 am - 12:45 pm Spanish Tasting. A
tasting of 10 wines from the superstars of Spain. The wines selected
are all top-rated wines (93+ points) from exciting Spanish wineries.
Some of the producers will be onstage to lend their viewpoint to the
discussion. Wine Spectator's executive editor Thomas Matthews leads the
tasting.
• LUNCHEON 12:45 pm - 4:00 pm A Tour of San
Francisco Lunch. Part of what makes San Francisco a worldwide popular
destination, is its great restaurants. Wine Spectator has invited chefs
from some of these renowned restaurants to have a station at our San
Francisco lunch and offer a dish from their restaurant. All the
participating restaurants are part of our Restaurant Award program. You
will have the opportunity to walk around and sample as you wish. We
plan lots of local color to bring San Francisco flavor into the room.
Match your food with wines stationed throughout the room. It's our
tribute to this great city where the Wine Experience began.
• EVENING "GRAND AWARD" BANQUET The
"Grand Award" Banquet, crowning event of the weekend, is a lavish
black-tie evening with special wines, great food and star
entertainment. It is the culmination of a weekend filled with new wine
experiences and new wine friends.
6:30 pm Champagne Reception
7:30 pm The Annual "Grand Award" Banquet. Highlighting
the evening: This year's entertainment is a tribute to the Beatles by
Classical Mystery Tour, a group that performs all over the world as the
Beatles. They will be backed by the 57 piece Santa Clara Symphony.
Listen and dance to all the Beatles songs that you still love and
remember sung as the Beatles did in their glory days.
คือ..ถ้าตัวเองอายุอ่อนกว่านี้สักสิบปีก็คงกระโดดโลดเต้น ตบตีแย่งชิงที่นั่งกับใครต่อใคร แต่มาอายุปูนนี้..การชิมแบบทรหดนั่นมันไม่สนุกแล้วค่ะ และไวน์ที่สนใจจะชิมจริงๆมีเพียงสองตัว คือ Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2002 กับ Sloan Rutherford 2001 แต่..ปลายปีใกล้คริสต์มาสมีงานอีกครั้งที่ต้องไป และมีไวน์สองตัวนี้ด้วย..
แต่ที่ยังกั๊กไว้..ไม่ได้บอกตรงๆไปว่าจะไปหรือไม่ไป เพราะรอคุณปีแอร์ที่จะกลับมาจากอลาสก้าในเดือนกันยายนนี้.. ว่า..ถ้าเขาไป..ก็จะไปด้วย..
