A nubra vally is between Ladakh ad Karakoram ranges. It is rare to see
a vally where the two mountain ranges are not cuddling with each othere.
The main river flowing through this is Shayok, which starts somwhere in Karakoram, and comes in this vally. Another river, Nubra, starting from Siachen, meets this river here. Shayok then meets the Sindhu river. The river bed of Shayok is about 0.5 to 1 km wide here. This is strategically very important place for india, between Chinaactually (part of ladakh occupied by china) and POK. Approach to this vally is from Khardunglaa pass, the highest motorable road in the world. This place is famouos for hot water streems at Panamic, and Bactrian camels at Diskit.
