| Day 52, Aug. 7th, we were back on the bikes and starting the home stretch to the big apple. It was a tricky 90 miles to our destination on the Canadian side of Niagra Falls. You really start to appreciate the route maps ABB gives you everyday when you have to start navigating for yourself. And trying to get across town when there is a river that needs to be crossed is tricky. It was so hot today that it was tough to breathe when the heat came up off the road. Once in to Niagra Falls, we had to find a room. First look, $259, no way. Next stop wanted $60 Canadian, now that is more in my ballpark. Nevermind that only 2 in 5 lights worked and there was no phone... |
