Benjamin Luper was born around 1848 in AR, d. ____ relative found his burial record in Kansas Cemetery, Kansas, OK. There is no tombstone. Just a large rock. He lived with his son John W. Luper until his death. He had asthma so badly he had to sit in a chair to sleep. Also had a badly swollen leg from what they called "dropsey". He asked his son John W. Luper to make his coffin when he died, which John did. He was the son of Gilbert Luper who was b. 1806 NC and Suzanna Ingram. Gilbert was the illegitimate son of Britton Britt and Treacy Cox Luper. So...the Luper line should really be named Britt.
