So, what was THEE all-time heaviest, toughest, coolest teen-age surf combo of all time?
The answer has got to be Jim Messina & his Jesters.

The same putz responsible for the "peaceful and harmonious blend of acoustic guitars known as California Rock"???
The same sap that was one half of 70's Cheeze-Whiz singing duo Loggins & Messina?
Yes.
The one and very same.
Seems that little Jim Messina had more taste and chops at the tender age of 14-15 (yes, he was that young when he cut the testosterone-charged Jesters tracks!) than he ever would later in life.
Sad.

Can't really talk about the Jesters without mentioning teenage drum wizard Larry Cundieff... a hack like John Bonham wasn't fit to wipe the sweat off of this kid's drum stool!
