If you are aged 6 to 14 and would like to play rugby union, why not come down to one of the best clubs in the area, Didsbury Toc H?
Each age group has qualified and enthusiastic coaches, who are committed to teaching good rugby skills, but who also make it fun and an enjoyable experience.
The progression of the game through the age groups follows the rules laid down by the English Rugby Football Union. The gradual increase in introducing skills up to the final 15-a-side game at the age of 13 is called the Rugby Continuum. In simple terms such skills as line-outs, tackling, scrums and place kicking etc. are introduced by gradual degrees at defined age groups and incorporated in the training as fun activities.
Training takes place every Sunday morning (except Christmas and Easter) at 10.30am to 12.15am from the beginning of September to the end of April. Matches are played against local opposition approximately one week in two (depends on age groups). Tournament festivals also take place, where a number of local teams congregate for a half day of rugby playing "round-robin" fixtures.
If you would like more information please contact us or better still, come down to the club and try out the best game in the world - RUGBY UNION.
