ERIC:"Bring me the finest vintage in the house!"
Dismal proof that we were not the first here: The door to the underground wine cellar was found already kicked in,
and the shelves below were nearly empty.

White Pillars restaurant lies vacant and idle in the Summer of 2004 (Above). The DAMC returned that year to explore new entry opportunities, with no luck whatsoever. The building was very secure (And -FINALLY!- posted for tresspassing).
This became moot, however, after Hurricane Katrina tore into the Biloxi beachfront a year later. Below is a picture of our restaurant in September 2005 as seen from beachfront US 90, two weeks after the storm. The structure fared better than most on the beach (a foundation slab is all that's left of the pawn shop that was in front of White Pillars). The surge wave crumbled some walls and obviously flooded the whole place, but overall, we'd say the White Pillars is a survivor.

Below is another view of the restaurant immediately after the Hurricane, revealing crumbled walls and horrific interior damage. Except for the National Guard checkpoint posted at the intersection near the building, it's never been easier to get inside the White Pillars!

HOO-HAW!! We've been promising it for five years now (is the Statute of Limitations up?) - Finally,
