Summary: The Avengers face off against Magneto and his Acolytes over the fate of Genosha! Quicksilver quickly joins his former teammates while Polaris, strangely linked to the power of Magneto, stands by her new ally! The Avengers hold their own against Magneto & Polaris, while Pietro tries to destroy the device which is hidden in Carrion Cove. He is aided by his sister, the Scarlet Witch who helps him overcome the last wave of Acolyte resistance. Within Carrion Cove, Pietro and Wanda find the mystery device...the same mechanism that inspired the Genoshan mutate process. The twins realize that thier father could use this device to re-ignite his own fading powers!!! Magneto manages to occupy the Avengers by triggering a major disaster and forcing them to shift their efforts to saving lives. He then stops his children from destroying the hidden device, choosing to enhance his own powers over the slim possibility of reuniting with his children. Just as Magneto is about to claim the device for himself, a lone figure steps in to stop him: Polaris!
