Ms. Marvel #3 (March 1977)
Title: The Lady's Not For Killing!
Story: Chris Claremont
Art: John Buscema
Summary: Ms. Marvel and the Destructor awaken and renew their battle. When the Female Fury finally beats the Destructor, AIM emerges to extract their fallen agent. Ms. M saves a pair of endagered bystanders but AIM escapes with the Destructor. Ms. Marvel laments her lack of memory and identity before blacking out and transforming into Carol Danvers.
Carol awakes at the Bugle to find MJ waiting for her in her office. The pressure of running WOMAN magazine combined with her continuing blackouts is starting to get to Carol, so she asks MJ to leave. After making a dinner date with Dr. Barnett, Carol lands a major scoop regarding the first female astronaut.
In their New York headquarters hidden beneath a department store, AIM brainwashes the Destructor and plots to sabotage the upcoming space flight. Apparently, the launch jeopardizes some of their own projects. In addition, they launch a rocket, ridding themselves of some unrevealed but dangerous device.
Meanwhile, Carol arrives at Cape Canaveral to meet her old friend, Salia Petrie, NASA's newest astronaut! Carol suffers another blackout as her seventh sense warns her about the AIM rocket headed for the Kennedy Space Center. Ms. Marvel intercepts the missile, discovering that her costume enables her to survive in outer space! She opens the rocket and is attacked by the Doomsday Man, a deadly robotic construct! Their battle destroys the rocket and they both fall to Earth. Ms. Marvel lands near the cave where Captain Marvel battled Yon Rogg and is drawn there. This triggers a flood of memories and an awareness of her alter ego, Carol Danvers!

Comments: This issue introduces Salia Petrie and takes us one step further to the integration of Carol Danvers and Ms. Marvel! This issue also introduces Chris Claremont to the title as writer!
