It was the best of luck the day that Carol Danvers and Jessica Drew met. Patrolling her new home base, San Francisco, Jessica Drew AKA Spider-Woman stumbled across what she believed was a suicide jump from the Golden Gate Bridge. The "jumper" was none other than Carol Danvers who had been thrown from the famous bridge by the mutant Rogue following their fateful confrontation. Jessica rushed Carol to the nearest hospital where she was diagnosed as a tabula rasa, a mental blank slate. When Lt. Bree Morrel of the SFPD confirmed Carol's identity, Jessica concluded that Carol's fall from the bridge was no accident. It was Spider-Woman who called in Professor Xavier to help restore Carol's mind. But Jessica didn't stop there. She flew to New York to investigate exactly what happened to Carol. Allying herself with Carol's former teammates in the Avengers, Spider-Woman fought and helped to defeat the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and Carol's assailant, Rogue. Once the fighting was done, Jessica traveled to Westchester to help Carol through her recovery. Jessica was there for Carol through it all. The pain and anguish that Carol experienced as she dealt with her restored memories bonded the two women. Though the two have not seen each other in recent years, Jessica has proven to be someone whom Carol can count on.
