"I can't remember a time when I wasn't a pet owner. Over the years I have owned birds, fish, cats, dogs, and currently, I am the proud owner of all of the above. I have had shoes destroyed by chewing, furniture ruined by scratching, and found little "presents" waiting for me in my slippers. I'm sure you're wondering: 'With all the anxiety that surely caused me, why would I continue to bring new pets into my life?' If I know anything about a skeptical mind, it is that it wants to believe in something better. As for me, I can't imagine a better life than one that is filled with the love from a pet. Any anxiety or inconvenience is far outweighed by the joy that they bring into your life. I consider myself to be a very, very lucky mommy."
