Rattles and Gurgles

WOOD THRUSH RATTLE, Kittatiny Ridge near Mt. Mohican, Delaware Water Gap, 6/26/99 (33kb).  This very loud sound may be made when the bird is alarmed. Stokes describes this song as "bweebeebeeb."  Peterson describes this sound as a rapid "pip-pip-pip-pip."  This sound reminds me of the sound of a belt being snapped.       wave570
CAROLINA WREN GURGLE (loud descending trill - "cheer"), Collegeville, PA, with insects and toad gulp 8/18/99 (34kb)       wave460
