Lincoln's Sparrow Latin:
Melospiza lincolnii/ French: |
Lincoln's Sparrow - two part "House
Wren-like" song with unknown possibly
White-crowned Sparrow at end of third sequence. Notice how
the two parts of the sequence have an ascending followed by a
descending ending similar to Song Sparrow. Mono Pass Trail, 6/10/03 (124kb) |

Lincoln's Sparrow: this sound was recorded
at 7,200' next to a brushy talus slope leading down to the Merced
River at 4,000'. I believe it to be the song of the Lincoln's
Sparrow although I was unable to observe the bird. 6/5/03
