Cheesequake State Park, Monmouth County, NJ, 5/12/04, (552kb) Green Trail, about 5' away with squirrel in background and Great-crested Flycatcher toward end.  The warbler was in a thick-branched low bush between a shallow running stream and more mature trees.  Notice variety of sounds.  The white wing-patch was much brighter than in Audubon's illustration.   The wing-patch was the first marking my eyes noticed.   It was approximately 9:00 a.m. on a very hot and humid morning with much less song than the cooler, less humid days before.
