The Book of Chances

(Note: We suggest reading the "introduction" contained in the first issue in order to understand the context of what is going on here. But if you are an atheist, reading within context may not be a priority - then you might as well just start reading here.)

Chapter Eleven
(Yep, life's reorganizing - again.)

Chances11:1 Now the whole wide world had one language, sign language, and there was a common speech therapist.

Chances11:2 As men migrated eastward (east of Eden in a supposedly cool box-car but turned out to be swealtering), they, by Chance, found a plain lot of land in Shinar and settled instead of taking a chance of going over the hill.

Chances11:3 They signed to each other, "Should we evolve bricks and bake them thoroughly?" They did use brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar. (SURGEON GENERALS WARNING: Using tar for mortar may be hazardous to your house, but not as much as asbestos.)

Chances11:4 Then they thought, "Come, let us plan and build ourselves an inner-city, with a corporate office (with a "crooked-E logo out front") that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole wide world."

Chances11:5 But Chance came down to see the city and the corporate office (with a "crooked-E logo out front") that the men were building.

Chances11:6 Chance babbled to himself, "If as one people signing the same sign language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.

Chances11:7 Come, let me flutter down and give them babbling speech so they will not understand each other."

Chances11:8 So Chance scattered them from there over all the earth (using a giant broom and shouting, "Shoo! Shoo!"), and they stopped building the inner-city and ran off babbling.

Chances11:9 That is why it was called Babel (Babble) - because there Chance confused the language of the whole world. From there Chance scattered them over the face of the whole earth (using said giant broom).

Chances11:10 This is the account of Shem. Two years after the way too much H2O, when Shem was some years old, he became the male genetic code source donor of Arphaxad.

Chances11:11 And after he became the male genetic code source donor of Arphaxad, Shem existed some more years and had other male and female offspring.

Chances11:12 When Arphaxad had existed something-five years, he became the male genetic code source donor of Shelah.

Chances11:13 And after he became the male genetic code source donor of Shelah, Arphaxad existed many wonderful years in Florida and had other male and female offspring.

Chances11:14 When Shelah had existed something-zero years, he became the male genetic code source donor of Eber.

Chances11:15 And after he became the male genetic code source donor of Eber, Shelah existed a few hectic years in the city and had other male and female offspring.

Chances11:16 When Eber had existed for years and years, he became the male genetic code source donor of Peleg.

Chances11:17 And after he became the male genetic code source donor of Peleg, Eber existed some more years and had other male and female offspring.

Chances11:18 When Peleg had existed beyond his years, he became the male genetic code source donor of Reu.

Chances11:19 And after he became the male genetic code source donor of Reu, Peleg really existed beyond his years and had other male and female offspring a small antique shop on the corner of Main and 5th street.

Chances11:20 When Reu had existed some untold years, he became the male genetic code source donor of Serug.

Chances11:21 And after he became the male genetic code source donor of Serug, Reu existed a fixed amount of years and and on a fixed income and had other male and female offspring.

Chances11:22 When Serug had existed in the best years of his existence, he became the male genetic code source donor of Nahor.

Chances11:23 And after he became the male genetic code source donor of Nahor, Serug existed some okay years and had other male and female offspring.

Chances11:24 When Nahor had existed, he became the male genetic code source donor of Terah.

Chances11:25 And after he became the male genetic code source donor of Terah, Nahor existed some more and had other male and female offspring.

Chances11:26 After Terah had existed many moons, he became the male genetic code source donor of Abram, Nahor and Haran.

Chances11:27 This is the contradictory account of Terah. Terah became the male genetic code source donor of Abram, Nahor and Haran. And Haran became the male genetic code source donor of Lot.

Chances11:28 While his male genetic code source donor Terah was still existing, Haran reverse evolved in Ur of the Chaldeans, in the land of his evolutionary beginning.

Chances11:29 Abram and Nahor both married (but not each other). The designation of Abram's mate was Sarai, and the designation of Nahor's mate was Milcah; she was the female offspring of Haran, the female genetic code source donor of both Milcah and Iscah.

Chances11:30 Now Sarai was in a barren place; she had no offspring by choice so as to further her carreer in a cosmetics sales company as an independant distributor.

Chances11:31 Terah took his male offspring Abram, his male offspring's male offspring Lot male offspring of Haran, and his female offspring-in-law Sarai, the mate of his male offspring Abram, and together they bounced off of each other out from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan. But when they migrated to Haran, they settled instead of "going for it" and crossing the next hill.

Chances11:32 Terah existed, and he reverse evolved in Haran.
