| Original Scala Cinema in Goodge Street where everyone would hang out when the clubs shut. Usually for all night John Waters / Divine movies or horror films until the tube trains started running. It was just round the corner from the squats where Boy George and Marilyn were living at the time so everyone would go and carry on as if it was a club. They also had the best jukebox in London with Joy Division and Magazine playing. Spandau Ballet and Throbbing Gristle were two bands who played there live. MARK MOORE |
