3 July 2006             CM9000 Apex tested has finished and takes over 3rd place in CGBT table. Well done to Graham Banks on yet another fine setting! - Tournament standings and ratings are updated
25 June 2006 CM9000 Grizzly2 testing has been completed. Another setting that beats the Default! - Tournament standings and ratings are updated

CM9000 Wizard testing has been completed. Wizard is the new  No.1!

31 May 2006        CM9000 Hero testing has been completed. Hero enters rating at  No.1!

30 May 2006   Major update to the blitz rating list!  - The database now has 13,582 games (up from 7,410)

CM9000 Attakiewicz testing has been completed. Attakiewicz enters rating =2. Congratulations to Cock de Gorter! Tournament standings and ratings are updated

6 May 2006     After 11,000 games the initial phase of CGBT testing is at last finished!! Updates of tournament details, standings and analysis have been made.
27 April 2006   The penultimate round has been completed! - only one to go. Validation and the replay of any duplicate games (c1%) will take place before the last round (against LG Evolution) is played.
26 March 2006  Testing on CM10th Vegeta 2d, (replacement for CM10th Cell) has started. Round 18 will start for all engines after Vegeta 2d has caught up!

CM10th Cell has been withdrawn from Chessmaster testing at the request of the settings author.
1 March 2006 Major update to the blitz rating list!  - Now includes all Chessmaster grand test games up to round 9. This increases the database from 2,148 to 7,410 games. As a result the minimum qualifying number of games has been increased from 30 to 100.
17 January 2006     CM9000 and CM10th have finished their 1000 game cycle - CM9000 leads......!!

I have had time to make changes to site and add content over Christmas holidays!. Main changes relate to computer chess and include:

my Arena opening book has been updated and is available for download. I have also included some initial testing results
new page included which will detail (slow!) progress on my chess engine 'Numpty'
new page detailing my own engine testing following my retirement from CEGT, initial focus is on Chessmaster personality - you can find the latest results here
