Azaka and Kamidake don't have much of a role in Tenchi Muyo except for protecting Ayeka. They're just these funny, polite, logs that manage to scare a whole lotta people.

In reality, Azaka and Kamidake are programmed to be like the original guardians (also named Azaka and Kamidake).

These guardian LOGS are actually made out of Jurain trees.
