Dear Prayer Warriors,
School is out! Let the fun begin! Summertime is a busy time for us. Once school is out we begin to have lots of visitors here on the reservation. It’s a very exciting time filled with Tent Revivals, Camp Meetings, Vacation Bible Schools, Camps for our teenagers and lots of fun activities. This year our groups will really be roughing it. We are unable to rent the parsonage in Red Valley any more, and the trailer that used to be here on the property is gone now. We will have to put the men at Bro. Walters church and the women will have to stay in our house. Its going to be crowded, but exciting…to say the least. I would ask that you all pray that we can find a good side trailer in good condition to move onto the property for a ‘sort of’ dorm room. It would have to be fairly big and have more than one shower. I know it's out there somewhere…in our price range; we just have to find it. Last month was particularly interesting for us because we went on the road for 3 weeks. A good missionary friend of ours (Bro. Marshall Dies to Mexico) came and stayed in my house and took over for me while I was gone. First we went on a Missions trip as a family. Our church in Red Valley took up food, clothes and toys for an orphanage that Bro. Tim Urling works with in Constitution, Mexico. Bro. Tim works with the Indians in Mexico who are treated as outcasts. He orphanage is about 4 hours from Juarez, and boy is it a heart breaker. I hate to do a plug in my prayer letter…but if any of you want to take a trip into Mexico, Bro. Urling sure will stir your heart up. You can reach him at 1-915-241-3233.After two trips into Mexico, and two meetings at new churches we got on the road heading to Houston and broke down 100 miles outside El Paso. It put us a few days behind, but we finally got the fuel pump fixed and made it to the next meeting in time. Amen! After the meeting in Houston we headed for the Alabama-Coushatta Reservation in Houston. They have supported us for quite some time, and it had been years since we last checked in. I preached part of their Missions Conference, and we had a wonderful time of fellowship with them and over 20 missionaries and pastors. It was VERY EXCITING! We had a meeting in the Dallas area after that, where we picked up one more supporting church. AMEN, AMEN again! Then up to Oklahoma City to see my Dad (who is over 70 now) and visit with out sending church and Pastor Charley O’Daniel for 4 days. What a blessing to come back home and check in with the church that sent you out. We received a huge blessing while we were there. The church bought us a deep freeze for our groups, and a brand new water dispenser. The reason this is such a blessing is because my wife Micki got very, very sick before our trip and I thought she would have to be put into the hospital. A few days before we were scheduled to leave we heard that there was 6 times the legal limit of Ecoli found in the drinking water. My wife was not the only one to be sick..there were several in the hospital. I praise the Lord that she is all better now, and that the children did not get sick. The men we left in charge did a great job while we were gone, but AMEN isn’t it great to be back home! Bro. Darrell Cox came in and preached a meeting with us on the 27th, and what a blessing it was to our people. He had an opportunity to preach in the jail with me on Thursday and we saw two men saved. Then when I went in yesterday I felt a lot of liberty, what a blessing, there were five more professions of faith. Please pray for us as we get the kids ready for camp. We have lots of fund raising to do, and little time to do it in. We also have camp meetings, revivals and groups coming out. Keep us in mind this summer as we begin our very BUSY time. In His Service, Bro. Bobby and the Tribe
Prayer Requests: Continued growth in the church. Continued health through our busy summer. Groups that are coming this summer. New Fruit for the church. Pastor Jimmy Walters. (personal health request) A dorm building for our property. Blessings: Bearing Precious Seed fixed the air in our van for FREE! Amen! My wife is better after her battle with Ecoli poisoning. I could go on and on…… And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God. Deuteronomy 28:2
