Inhalant
abuse is the deliberate inhalation (huffing of sniffing) of common products to
obtain a "high." These products are safe and legal when used for
their intended use. But when someone misuses them by breathing them into
their lungs, inhalants are poisonous. Over time, inhalant abuse causes
severe permanent damage to the body, especially the brain.
