Dear Bob,

Hi. My name is Benny Aditya Lolang. I from Indonesia. I have a swingbike. I got it from a friend of mine from a village of Indonesia. He said this bike was NOS with complete original parts from small bicycle shop. But the decals in front of the frame said was made by Dodsuns ("Hand Crafted by Dodsun of R.O.C." ). Like I read before in your forum, there was a manufacturing from Dodsuns right? The serial number is 029852. A little rust in some area and headset area. I'm looking for the badge and decals of this bike, maybe you can help me? I give you some pictures of this bike, can you identification my bike? And may I join your REGISTRY SWINGBIKE after you give me some identification of course? Because I would love to.

Thank you very much.

Regards

Benny Aditya Lolang

Webmaster's Note: Thanks Benny for the pics and details on this interesting example from Indonesia! I would not put normal Swing Bike badges or decals on this bike. The serial number on this bike is the highest 'O' series we have seen in the Registry so far. I wonder if Swing Bike didn't have any distribution in Indonesia and Dodsun handled it or if Dodsun just carried on after Swing Bike went out of business here in the USA. The blue on this bike is a shade darker as well. A mystery for sure ... but very unique!

Webmaster's Note: Benny added this note (with photos) on May 9, 2009. Another cool find! Thanks Benny!

Hello Mr. Bob,

How are you? I hope you're OK. I find it again a Red "Dodsun" Swing Bike. Which are the conditions likely still all original. Unfortunately, The paint was pitied (not good), was very thin and exfoliate on a part of it. And Some Parts Crome is even better than my previous bike, including its tyres.

The Serial Number is: 030026

Maybe Someday, i'm going to restore it.

Best Regards

Benny Aditya Lolang
