Here's the story:

Hi Bob,

I've enjoyed checking out your Swing Bike web page. I'm a Schwinn collector, mainly into the Sting-Rays.But in my travels I've come across a local bicycle shop that has 3 original Swing Bikes. He bought 5 of them new, sold 2, both kids that got these bikes got hurt pretty bad, so he put them away (the bikes).

That was back in the 70's. Earlier this summer he put 2 of the Swing Bikes together (out of the original boxes) and on the sales floor -- NOT TO BE SOLD TO KIDS! I talked him into leaving the 3rd one in the box. He's not sure what to ask for them, he doesn't know what they're worth. I'm really not sure either. I've tried the -- I'm not a kid, sell them to me -- routine. With no luck. The only wear these bikes have is from falling over in shop. He's gotten taken by some local collectors, and seems to have a -- if I sell em I'll miss em -- kinda attitude. Which to me translates to if he sells them for $150, and finds out latter there worth $350 he'll be pissed. and rightly so.

So anyways, Bob what are Swing Bikes worth? Any light you could shed on this would be helpful.

Thank You!

David W.
