Here is a collection of Tudor letters which I have transcribed. In the long term I hope for a much more varied collection. These are all letters that I have transcribed myself, so if you use them for your own website, I would be grateful if you gave me credit.
These letters are written out a) in the manner they were written (i.e. spelling is unaltered, and I have tried to keep the lines the same, ending at the same word as in the letter and leaving punctuation unaltered) and b) edited (i.e. spelling and punctuation modernised). Tildes between letters represent the signs the author used to indicate abbreviation.
I cannot promise that these transcripts are completely accurate. However, I do my best.
