Joel Hamilton ( - ) Trustee, Town of Hamilton.

The Town of Landing established in 1835. The plat was laid out by Joel Hamilton and George McGlasson. The first Trustees were: Wm. Winston, Jr., George McGlasson, Joel Hamilton, Henry L. Rose, James Dukan. The name was later changed to Hamilton in honour of Joel Hamilton.
