          Answer: Joy to the World: Joy equals exultant happiness.

        4. Hidden in a trough in some unknown place.

          Answer: Away in a Manger: A manger is a trough, a container out of which animals eat.

        5. Put on your snowshoes. You have to do some climbing to get to the location of your next newscast, unless you can hire a helicopter fast.

          Answer: Go, Tell it on the Mountain: As an assignment to a reporter.

        6. As the guardians of live cuddly woolly creatures protected their charges on the dark side of this planet.

          Answer: While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks by Night: Watched equals guarded.

        7. On one cloudless starry night, something happened at the strike of 12.Angel Making Music in a Christmas Tree

          Answer: It Came upon a Midnight Clear: A clear night is cloudless and starry, and the clock stikes 12 at midnight.

        8. Listen. See if you can perceive the same thing as I can?

          Answer: Do You Hear What I Hear?: Hear means to perceive with your ears.

        9. In that small hamlet which is the birthplace of Israel's most famous king.

          Answer: In the Little Village of Bethlehem: A hamlet is a small village, and King David was born in Bethlehem.

        10. Looking over the ocean with my field glasses, I noticed the approach of a trio of nautical vessels.

          Answer: I Saw Three Ships Come Sailing by: Well, I need field glasses to see a ship on the ocean.

        11. Listen, the winged messengers are performing in a choir.

          Answer: Hark, the Herald Angels Sing: The word "angel" literally means "messenger" and not necessarily with wings, but the "Herald Angels" are heavenly and probably had wings.

        12. All three of us are rulers of eastern countries.

          Answer: We Three Kings of Orient Are: The word "Orient" means "the east," especially far east from Europe.

        13. Oh small urban centre near Jerusalem!

          Answer: O Little Town of Bethlehem:

          Bethlehem is within walking distance of Jerusalem.

        14. May God give jovial contentment to well-mannered males of noble birth.

          Answer: God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen!: To rest someone merry means to wish them enjoyment, hoping that they will have a good time.

        15. A wish for absence of war for this terrestrial sphere.Peace Dove

          Answer: Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin in me.:

          That is my prayer for the new year.
