CHAR'S POTATO STEW
Things you will need:
- Approx. 10 medium-large
potatoes, washed, peeled, and cubed
- 1 large onion,
chopped
- 1 TB minced/chopped
garlic
- Salt and pepper (to
taste)
- water as necessary
- meat of choice (smoked
sausage sliced into bite sized pieces is our fav choice,
but it works well with left over steak, roast, brisket,
and even ham -- and it's even great alone)
If using sausage, brown and
drain grease. Add water and remaining ingredients and simmer till
you have a nice potato gravy and the meat is tender. I
prefer potato stew completely alone, but it is great over white
rice.
If you're adventurous, add
16 oz. of tomato sauce to the other ingredients. It's excellent.
