The book thing? "Clockers" by Richard Price is the book I recommend to non-readers; that's high praise indeed.

I read way to many books, it's so hard to pick when you've read some really good ones. Clive Barker is definately one of my favorite authors though. Neil Stephenson is right up there to though, I've never read a funnier man in my life.
