The early years
Although no photographic evidence exists (except for the picture on the first page), my early
years were full of old dresses, sheets, and high heels. As a child I would wrap a sheet around
myself and lip-synch to My Fair Lady, doing a damn good "Show me!" Alas, no prescient photographers
were around to capture those magic moments.
Since I grew up in stifling white-bread suburban New Orleans, it was only a matter of time (and
attaining legal age) before I escaped the confines of stultifying suburbia and moved to the Big
Easy proper, where my drag yearnings could be gratified.
