The Masamune
It gleams in the light
Burning through flesh at night
Hidden from sight
Made for one great fight
Is the Sword of Might
It was falling, he looks out the window and he realizes there is no land in
sight. He grabs the steering wheels, and screams for help, although he is
alone.
“What did my instructor say about this kind of thing!?” he cried out, “Why
did I have to goof off in boot camp!?”
His answer didn’t come, but soon the darkness did, he died there, in his
plane.
++++++++
One month later his body was found, just off the coast of Costa Del Sol, in
an underwater cave. The rescuers found him still locked into his safety
harness, eyes frozen wildly with fear.
“For the love of Odin! Why did he have to die this way?” The diver was
strangely cool, seeing the dead body. He’d been working this job too long.
The next diver, a muscular man with silver hair that defied his age, only
25, agreed, then looked at his partner, a man with jet-black hair, “You
know, we could quit this job and enter the Shinra...”
“You know, that’s not a bad idea, Seph.”
“Well, Zack, lets get this plane outta here,” Seph said, as Zack left for a
harness. Suddenly he spotted a magnificent sword, lain on the bottom of the
reef, hidden by coral. I better not tell Zack, he may try to take it...
thought Sephiroth, as he hid it.
Seph went back a week later to claim his prize, a long sword inlayed with
the words “May only a great man steal my sword, Odin”.
“This is the sword of Gods,” Sephiroth marveled, “I must know how to use
it!” And that is the day that Sephiroth joined Shinra to realize his
destiny.
There you have it, a short story with an even shorter poem, review please!
