Finals Week. It's like, return of the midterms! But at the end of the year! Wow!
And, by...

NIGHT 27
CLAN COUNCIL
Johnny Host: All right guys. After what's hopefully the last abnormally extended voting period... it's time to count the votes.
*Johnny leaves and returns with the jar.*
Johnny Host: Woah, this thing is heavy! Let's see here... Ultros... Ultros... Ultros... Hey, there are like seventeen votes here for Ultros!
Ultros: AAAHHHHH!!!
Johnny Host: But, they're all in the same handwriting. Don't worry Ultros, you're off the hook.
Ultros: Oh, thank goodness! UWEE HEE HEE HEE!
Johnny Host: One vote for Locke and one for Mog. *starts flipping out papers madly* Five for Sabin, and nine for Celes.
Celes: Hey, what happened to the dramatic style?!
Johnny Host: Hey, nobody wants to see that garbage. They just want you out.
Celes: Ouch.
Johnny Host: Celes, with an amazing nine votes... the board has spoken.
*Johnny blows out Celes's torch from long range, without even using his ceremonial snuffer.*
Johnny Host: Now get outta here.
*Celes takes the walk of shame and is the tenth person voted off.*
Johnny Host: Okay guys, head back to camp.
*The final six survivors - Sabin, Gau, Ultros, Mog, Shadow, and Locke - leave.*
CELES'S FINAL WORDS
Celes: Well, what can I say? I got far, really far, but not as far as I would've liked to have gone. I made a couple friends out here, probably a few enemies, but I think I played the game to the best of my ability. I can't really help it if I come off as kind of aggressive... that's probably what cost me the game in the end. But hey, I beat nine others, and I get to come back in the jury. So it certainly could've been worse. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go find RPGenius50 and, um, talk to him. Yeah...
DAY 28
REBORAN
Sabin (to camera): Well, it's come to this. I'm as far as I can possibly go, and that's really all there is to it. I'm the only person left who's unpopular, and if I don't win immunity the board is gonna have my head. Well, so be it! I'm gonna do my best, and either go on or go out with my head held high!
Locke (to camera): I'm going to miss Celes. C'mon, she's gorgeous, even if she's a little bossy.
Shadow (to camera): Once again, the remaining Tagorans and the Rebodas are tied. And, if it's Sabin that gets voted out next, it will be 3-2. But I shouldn't be thinking of that yet - it's still a struggle to survive out here.
Ultros (to camera): Oh man, I thought I was a goner when Johnny read those votes! It came out of nowhere too! But, I'm still here! UWEE HEE HEE HEE!!!
Gau (to camera): Me keep win immunity, me win whole thing! Have big party, invite message board! Wao!
Mog (to camera): I have to admit, despite everything that was said about it being calmer when Relm got voted off, kupo, it's actually a lot cooler around here right now. The only one who's shown to be hot-tempered among the last six is Sabin, and he has no one to fight with, kupo.
*The six survivors sit around the fire while cooking some rice.*
Sabin: Pity about Celes.
Shadow: Of course. It's never enjoyable to lose anyone, but that's just part of the game.
Locke: Right. I guess the key is just not putting too much thought to that... otherwise it becomes too hard to stay positive.
Mog: Absolutely, kupo.
Gau: No big deal. Me win whole thing! You not worry!
Sabin: Hey! You little punk... kind of cocky, aren't you?
Gau: You no worry! Me win, Mr. Thou!
*Ultros laughs as Sabin silently seethes at the wild youngster.*
Locke: Seems like we've been out here forever...
Shadow: I know what you mean.
Ultros: It's been almost a month.
Sabin: Well, at least none of us has gone crazy yet.
Locke (to camera): It's easy to see that Sabin's worried about getting voted off. We all are, of course, except for maybe Gau, but Sabin's especially worried because now he's the number one target. It's kind of funny though, I've been with Sabin this whole game and he's faced down bad odds before... I'd think it would make him worry less. But nope.
Ultros (to camera): I hope the big musclehead goes next. Well, actually, I don't care who goes, as long as it's not me!
Sabin (to camera): Even if I can somehow immunity my way all the way to the end, I don't think I could possibly win the final vote. But of course, second place with an outside chance at first is better than sixth and a spot next to Relm on the jury!
Mog (to camera): Everyone's thinking about the big W now that they're this far, kupo! No reason I can't win! But, that wild child's gonna be tough to beat. He has a pretty big fan base, kupo. Maybe a little chloroform... Ah, wait, I'm in the Outback. I don't have chloroform.
Shadow (to camera): I'm just playing it cool out here. Being calm, collected... that's something that everyone needs. Some kind of pillar of stability.
Gau (to camera): Me win! Me win! Me win! Me win! Me win!
DAY 29
REBORAN
Mog (to camera): This morning when I woke up, I went to check the tree-mail, not really expecting anything. But surprisingly, our immunity challenge notice was there, kupo! I don't know why they're changing format on us all of a sudden... I suspect that Warteen is on crackupo.
Mog: So here's the rhyme for today's challenge, guys.
Sabin: Wait, today's? They usually let us sit and stew here for an extra day before the challenge.
Mog: I know, but I'm just reading what they gave us, kupo.
Locke: Very interesting...
Mog: "With only six survivors left
It's important to be the most deft.
Let's see how well you follow your line,
And at Clan Council, you'll be fine."
Sabin: *scratches head* Deft?
Locke: It means "quick and skillful" or "adroit".
Sabin: Adroit?
Locke: Yes, it means... grr, we'll talk about your vocabulary deficiencies later!
Sabin: (totally confused) defishi-what?
Locke (to camera): A month with that guy is too much. I still can't believe he got so far past Terra.
Shadow (to camera): I have no idea why they would change the format of the game on us like this. All I know is that no matter what time it is, it's almost time for another challenge. I need to pull out a victory this time... They become more and more important as time goes on in this contest.
Ultros (to camera): Instead of sitting around reflecting today, we've just been sitting around getting ready for the challenge. Not much change there!
Gau: Time to go to challenge!
Locke: Yep, so let's..... go.
IMMUNITY CHALLENGE
*The six remaining contestants head to the woods for their next immunity challenge. A lot is at stake for each of them. Johnny Host greets them.*
Johnny Host: Hi there, guys. Wonderful to have you here. It's time for your next immunity challenge. Now, I'm sure some of you are wondering why the immunity challenge is today rather than tomorrow.
*The survivors collectively nod their assent.*
Johnny Host: Well, we've decided that in the spirit of torturing you for the game, if we put the challenges and the councils further apart, it would give the losers more time to think about it! Also, you're all very boring the day before the challenge. So if we spread stuff out, you'll have more time to be interesting.
Locke: Should you really be talking to us like that? The readers might realize how evil the powers-that-be really are.
Johnny Host: Nonsense, this'll be edited out later! *laughs evilly*
Johnny Host: Well survivors, time for your immunity challenge. In this challenge, you'll each be clipped to a rope that leads from the start of a winding course here in the woods to the finish. The ropes go over and under each other at spots, so you'll have to work to get through to the end. First one to the end wins. Let's get prepared...
*The six survivors clip themselves to a rope of their choice with harnesses.*
Johnny Host: Survivors ready? GO!
*Ultros squirms his way across the ground, attached to his rope, trying to keep up with the others.*
Ultros: *sigh* Another example of species bias...
*Mog, for once, has the advantage in being a moogle, because he's small enough that he can easily maneuver around the virtual maze of ropes. Sabin's speed suffers because he's just the opposite. Mog and Gau are tied for the lead after about thirty seconds of racing. Shadow and Locke are not far behind them, both being fairly dexterous. Sabin trails behind them, and Ultros still struggles to get over and under the first couple ropes.*
Ultros: (frustrated) Come on! I'm an octopus, here! How about a fish eating challenge?!
Gau: Me beat moogle! Awao!
*Gau crawls under a rope and blasts through a bush that's right in his way. However, he gets caught up with Shadow when their ropes cross, slowing him down. Mog takes over the lead, with Locke on his tail, but Locke's rope does a difficult over/under cross that he has to pause to get through. Sabin watches sadly as Mog gets his clip past the final rope intersection and speeds to the finish line, then crosses it for the moogle victory.*
Johnny Host: Mog is the winner!
*Johnny slips the Can't Get Kicked Off Talisman around Mog's neck.*
Mog: All right, kupo!
Johnny Host: Okay, you guys can head back to camp now. I'll see you at Clan Council tomorrow evening. *cough*losers*cough*
Mog (to camera): I must say, I was happy about the way the immunity challenge went. Being patient finally paid off, kupo! And this is definitely a time when immunity matters...
Sabin (to camera): Well, I got beat by the moogle. It looks like I'm going to be on my way out, because I really needed that one. But that's just how it goes sometimes.
Shadow (to camera): While I'm not happy about losing the challenge, it was a nice bonus to inadvertantly prevent Gau from winning as well. I think he's had more than his fair share.
Locke (to camera): I didn't have the greatest chance against the smaller people in our group during that challenge... but I still think I made a strong showing. My victory is right around the corner, I can feel it...
Ultros (to camera): I hate to sound like the one who's always complaining, but come on now! How am I supposed to get through a rope course? Sure, I've got eight appendages, but they're not exactly useful for navigating on land! I'm thinking about using them to slap some of my clanmates around, though! UWEE HEE HEE HEE!
Gau (to camera): (glumly) Me no win... Shadow bad man, he make me lose!
DAY 30
REBORAN
Sabin (to camera): I did not sleep well last night. All I could dream about was losing the game, and how humiliating it was. And then I woke up and said to myself, "Thank goodness it was a dream," but then I realize that it's probably what's coming for me today. I feel like I've done okay out here... but I know I could have done better. The way things went... I had wanted to win this thing all along! Well listen to me now... I'm already talking like the vote's happened. Well, maybe I'll get extremely lucky...
Gau (to camera): Sabin snore and whine!
Shadow (to camera): I wish Sabin would calm down. It's a game. I know he's competitive, but losing this is not the end of the world.
Locke (to camera): This is really diabolical, the way they spread out the challenge and the council. We didn't have this much time to worry about things before. I think I'm in a pretty good position right now, especially compared to Sabin, but who knows? I'll tell you, when people like Terra and Strago got voted out, that was totally unexpected. It could be my turn at any time, and that doesn't make me too happy. Mog sure is happy, though.
Mog (to camera): I sure am happy, kupo.
Ultros (to camera): Sabin's so convinced he's out of here... well, that works for me! UWEE HEE HEE!!
Locke: I was thinking, guys...
Gau: What?
Locke: I was just wondering how the outcome of this game might be different than the way it's headed if it had been us castaways voting rather than the message board.
Sabin: It's kind of hard to know that kind of thing, or even to guess at it.
Mog (to camera): I know why Sabin didn't want to guess at it... he knows he would have been outta here a long time ago, kupo!!!
Sabin: But I guess it couldn't hurt to try.
Shadow: Edgar would still be here.
Gau: No Celes, though!
Ultros: And you know Terra would still be around!
Locke: And Kefka...
All: Nah.
Locke (to camera): My topic of discussion stimulated some good conversation. I noticed how nobody wanted to say that they'd still be here. I like to think that I would, though, even if it'd be foolish to mention it in front of everybody.
*That night, the six remaining survivors pack up their belongings and head to Clan Council.*
NIGHT 30
CLAN COUNCIL
*The survivors, having left the last scene, enter this one at a slightly later time. Funny how that works. As usual, Johnny Host greets them.*
Johnny Host: Welcome to yet another Clan Council, guys. Let's bring in our jury, which is almost halfway filled...
*Strago, Relm, and a newly refreshed and clean Celes walk in and sit down across from the survivors. Celes catches Locke's eye.*
Locke: Woah! Izzat... you?
*Celes winks and smiles at him. He swoons. Johnny glares at her.*
Johnny Host: (tersely) Remember... it's the jury's place to observe only, not to interact with the survivors in ANY WAY. (regaining his composure) Ahem... As time goes on in this game, some of the power is being shifted from the message boarders, who are in complete control of the vote now, to the jury, who will have a part in determining who finally wins this game. So they're here to gather information. Let's give them some of that. Sabin, you seem to have expressed some angst about being voted out tonight.
Sabin: Yeah. I think it's clear just from the numbers... I've had a lot more votes than anyone who's left.
Johnny Host: But what makes you so sure past votes will be an indication of tonight?
Sabin: Well, I'm not sure. It just seems like people have had it out for me from the beginning - I'm not really sure why - and it looks like, with that talisman around Mog's neck instead of mine, this will be their big chance to get rid of me.
Johnny Host: Anybody else feel like they might be in trouble tonight, too?
Ultros: I'm probably not too safe... I had seventeen votes last time!
Johnny Host: You only had two votes.
Ultros: Oh. In that case, Sabin's dead meat.
Johnny Host: Gau, has the emotional state of your camp been better since certain people have been voted off?
Gau: Yeah!
Johnny Host: Are you worried about getting voted off tonight, since for once you don't have immunity?
Gau: No! Me still win!
Johnny Host: Shadow. If you could pick somebody to get voted off instead of who you think is likely to be voted off, would you?
Shadow: No. But it would be nice to have that power.
Johnny Host: And finally, Mog. Do you think you would have been in serious trouble had you not won immunity?
Mog: Seriously? Probably not, kupo. But still, you never know when the board will turn on you, kupo! They're like rabid Intangirs! Immunity always feels good to have. Especially after getting this far.
Johnny Host: All right, I think that's more than enough talk. Time for the vote!
Voice of Johnny Host: Who will be the eleventh person voted off? Find out next time on Survival 2: The Final Fantasy III Outback!
