• Kenny G and the Book of Guinnes
  
  Dec1997 (MeoJazz): Kenny G enters the Book of Guinnes, after have held the same note, an Eb, for 45 minutes and 47 consecutive seconds. He has established the record in a shop of music from New York, warning before begin the fans assembled for the event: "goings to take you a coffee, because the thing could become boring". Kenny G could have established the record (a record for the longer note didn't exist to the sax) thank you to the technique of Circular Respiraton: he breathe with the nose while continue to blow in the instrument.

• Chieti : Tribute to JOHN COLTRANE 1967/1997
  
  Dec1997 (Fabio Armillotta): The student group Sal Arcs with the collaboration of the agency Local Bus of Pescara, the artistic direction of Tony Pancella and Stefano Zenni, with the financing of the University G. D'Annunzio of Chieti has organized a review of music Jazz from the title: TRIBUTE To JOHN COLTRANE 1967/1997.

  Sep1998 (B.B. Bean): News arrives at last year from the NewsGroup that a certain Geovanny Escalante, 24 years from the Rica Coast, has retouched the record established from Kenny G, on the duration of a note play on sax. If confirmed (the that it should be fact to brief), the record comes prone to 1h 30' and 45''. Almost the double of the preceding record. The aboriginal font of this news is the Costa Rica's daily paper "La Nacion". I just want to know one things.... who would want to listen to one note on a saxophone for 90 minutes?
