I didn't find your earlier post vague. Terse and to the point,
in fact I responded.

In the Sumerian (aka Chaldean, later merged into Babylonian, Phoenician, etc.) tradition this is an orthodox ritual.
the female initiate stays the night in a room at the very top
of the Temple zigurat (pyramid). There she expects to be
visited by the God in a sexual encounter.

In one of the mystical resonances of Paganism which manifests unbidden
in the Xtian scripture, Mary Magdalene goes to the garden to mourn her
beloved. To the startling appearance of the man before her, she asks 'Are you the gardener?' This is an eerie echo of the very first book
of humanity, Inanna and the Gardener. When we are at archetype level
focus, there are reverberations forming beats in our reality, the past
and present merging. Space and identity get a little mixed up too.
kind of fun, ain't it?

Devotees of Inanna participate in worship involving sex, and sexuality
itself is a sacred positive force. She of Seven Names is hot stuff.
