Dizzy Gillespie

John Birks Gillespie, a.k.a. Dizzy (1917-1993), jazz musician. With Charlie Parker he led the bop movement in jazz in the 1940s. His trumpet style blended spectacular facility with taste and intelligence. Although the song now playing is not a good example of bebop, here are some good examples: "Night In Tunisia," "Con Alma," "Cubano be - Cubano bop," and "Woody'n You".
