The Little City Jazz Band, or LC Jazz, is a volunteer community "Big Band" jazz band that was formed in September 1991 with the desire to provide a musical outlet and entertainment to the community. Based in Vergennes, Vermont, the band performs at gigs within about a 50 mile radius. The money earned from our performances is used both to pay for equipment expenses and is given as scholarships for music students at local schools.

We practice every Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Dr. Don Bicknell's office building in Vergennes. We welcome anyone who would like to join us to come and sit in on our practices.

In the past, the band has performed at a wide variety of locations and events. These include the Discover Jazz Festival, various Vergennes Opera House fundraisers, and many community dances and balls, as well as private parties and dances. We play a variety of musical styles, from early 20th century pop tunes to jazz and rock from recent years. Click here for our complete current play list. Here is a sample of our play list:
