Balalaika & Folk Dance Camp

This festival of Eastern European folk music, song and dance includes

FOLK INSTRUMENTS:

• Balalaikas, domras, cimbaloms, tamburas, gajdas, tupans, other folk instruments of Eastern Europe
• Workshops, lectures, lessons, jam sessions, performance ensembles, combined orchestra
• Evening party each night with live and canned music, dancing and singing - delicious ethnic food included!

FOLK SONG & HANDICRAFTS:

• Songs from the various peoples of Eastern Europe, solo & group, performed and taught
• Popular ethnic crafts demonstrated and taught

FOLK DANCING:

• Daily workshops in folk dances of Eastern Europe, taught by renowned teachers
• Evening party each night with live and canned music, dancing and singing - all dances taught will be danced at the parties, when available to live music - delicious ethnic food included!
• Popular Philadelphia-area DJ will spin disks at evening parties, unless live music is happening

PLUS, Welcome BBQ Party on Wed., Banquet at ROVA Russian Resort on Fri., and Cabaret Concert on Sat.
