Yet another view of Pier Head.  The building on the left is the Cunard Building.  In the heyday of liners, the Cunard Line and the White Star Line were rivals.  The names of most of Cunard's vessels ended with "ia", such as Britannia, Lusitania, and Mauretania.  White Star's vessels almost all ended with "ic", such as Majestic, Britannic, Olympic, and Titanic.

To the right is the Port of Liverpool Building, then Edward VII again.  The Royal Liver Building is just out of frame to the left.
