Another house on a street of public houses-Mathew Street.  In the early 60's the Beatles played at The Cavern down the street and drank here.  The local story is that a drunk and Ringo Starr were fighting, and a visiting Oxford student stepped in to break it up.  The student, a yank, later became well known himself.  The yank? Bill Clinton.  It could even be a true story.
