The first time i saw david sanborn was in memphis tenn at david bowie concert.I had been playing sax for a few years in the school band,and,thought i would go into business in college...but...his playing completely blew me away,and you might say changed my life. From that moment on i wanted to play sax for a living. (im starving) well not really,....I was able to catch him at mud island in memphis with al jar...and again at the peabody...and again at tunica......I almost met him there but missed him by 15 min.......My friends who were able to meet david said he was just like his music,open and generous ....I wish i had been able to hang out a few more moments.........jl
