Chalk FarM ‘97 day 2

March 19th,
It was a crazy day on wednesay... I had practically failed a midterm and was supposed to be writing a big paper that's due friday, and all I got was the title. I was so ready to go too the concert again... spring break is weeks overdue and I just don't want to deal with classes anymore... we left here about 9 and got to lil 5 and it was a ghost town. We started walking around and I saw Toby in the point, but he was eating and didn't see me. My friends and I went walking around and I had the pleasure of running into an ex-boyfriend... that was interesting in itself... Anyway my friends and I went to felini's pizza for a while and then we decided to hang out in front of the point. We had been standing there for a while when Trace and some friends walked up. He looked at me and we smiled and then he remembered me... it was cool. We stood talking for a while... it was nice to finally get a chance to talk with him, and of course he's just as nice as all the other guys! :) We all went in and hung out waiting for the first band to play... Marcy playground was really cool, I think they were the best of the 2 bands. Some of my other friends showed up at the show and we were dancing around and stuff, it was great. I also got to meet this guy named Josh who owns the other Chalk Farm webpage, we talked for a while and were wondering if the forehead we saw at the balconey was Michaels... we thought about throwing up paper airplanes to say hi, but we didn't. Toby was up there at one point and I waved at him, and he told me later that he knew it was me. I also got to meet a guy that worked at Columbia Records that had been to my page and had flown down for the night to visit a friend and see CF. He said he knew he would see me there and so we talked for awhile and hung out. The second band was ok, but they were alot of fun... they were all in these white workers suits and had these huge hidious wigs on... it was crazy! It took CF forever but they finally got up on stage... and they were all dressed in some cool outfits... Trace had on an awsome red velvet shirt and michael had on a purple velour one... I swear they have better clothes than I do! When they got on stage Michael looked over at me and I waved and he smiled. During the concert he looked around and said it was good to see some familar faces... some from athens, some from philly, and then he looked at me and said and some from all over... :) They had a killer show, but the touring is starting to get to them... poor Orlando was dead tired after the show, I told him he needed to get to bed, but he said he was going to have to drive... I hope he got some sleep today! After the show we all yelled for them to play one more song, and I yelled at Michael to play Much and he laughed at me and said "You and much, we don't know that one"... even though it's the hidden track! Oh well... they played it's up to you, and Trace was playing with a guitar that I've never seen before and it sounded awsome! I loved it.... After the show I talked with Orlando and Toby and then Michael came over and gave me a really big hug. I got guitar tabs from the guys since I have Toby's drum stick, I wanted to add them to my collection. :) I talked to Trace for a while and bitched about the paper that I'm about to start on... he was facinated and then after I told him about the 2 other papers I've written (Plato's Symposium, and Aristotle's DeAnima) he just shook his head and said he was glad he wasn't me! He liked my necklace though... I got this beautiful silver charm in Greece called the thinking woman... she's got her arms around her knees and her head is bowed, and while I was talking to him he poked at it hanging at my neck... I thought it was amusing. I told Michael about the paper too, and he had remembered me talking about it on monday, and then said he wished he could tell me something profound... but then he told me 'elipses', so that was my profound thought for the evening. The people working there were starting to kick people out but Michael told them that Josh and I were with them so they let us stay. We got some more pictures, the guy from columbia was taking them, and he looked like a tourist... it was cute... he had like 3 cameras! :) After that Michael took me up to the dressing room to show me a picture that was taken on monday... it was supposed to be of me and him, but it turned out to only be of me and his neck! I laughed and said that they should hold a contest to guess the neck. So I got a hug from him, accosted the rest of the guys for a hug and headed out... but that wasn't the end of it. Josh was supposed to give me a ride but when I got outside he was no where to be found... I was getting really pissed and I stood outfront of the Point for a few minutes... then Orlando came up to the window and asked if I was ok... I told him my ride left me and so he started looking to see if there was a pay phone or anything for me. I think he wanted me to walk around the back, but I didn't want to go around the building again. Finally one of the guys that worked there let me in and Orlando came around and was like, there you are. :) The tour manager for Lazlo Bain gave me a hard time and said I could only use the phone if I was a farm hand, and michael was walking by and he was like, a farm hand? she's *the* farm hand... So I got someone to come get me and Orlando kept me company and made sure I was ok. About 10 minutes later Josh came walking around the corner and said that he had gone to check on his friends, so it was just a big missunderstanding... he didn't know how long I was going to be... so it's ok. Some crazy guy was walking around outside and asking for quarters and after he passed by Orlando and the guy that had let me in were both like, why don't you come inside? It was cute. :) Finally my friends showed up and the guy was like, your chariot has arrived.... so I left the fairytale night and went home... it was so cool...
