comments taken from the student's essays after
the trip
"The Mississippi Valley Museum was interesting. The paintings were
very beautiful." - ShaRonda
"I was most fascinated by the tour guide who shot darts out of
that blow gun." - Reggie
"It was so much fun playing the part of Alida Thibodeaux and Wayne
(Belizaire) wanting to marry me. He kept messing up his lines. But I can't
talk. I messed up my two little lines." - Meineke
"Our group went to do our drawings and Mr. E. and the rest of
the Explorers disappeared" - Ericka
" The most unusual thing was seeing that canoe that was 400 years
old." - Ruban
"I liked the acting by Jarred, Reggie, Meineke, and Wayne. I want
to see the video" - Courtney
"I didn't like the trip to Lafayette. I think it was very boring.
We got back too early." - Binh
"After seeing the village, I think they should make a horror movie
here. Everything is perfect, the blacksmith shop looked dangerous."
-
Adrian
"My favorite part was when Mr. E. let us loose and we took off
for the houses. we didn't have a guide but we learned on our own. I really
like the Indian 'dude' who told those stories in the museum. He was great."
- Adrian
