Background info : she is a true-blue Taiwanese; she has participated in a few singing competitions before and has emerged a champion in one of the radio singing contests; she used to be a lead singer of a now-defunct band called The Bugs; her vocals first caught the attention of her record company when she sang a string of demo tracks especially for song-writer Shen Bai Se (or Arys Chien) such as A Mei's "Without Regret" (or Wu Hui), Kelly Chan's "Three Seconds" (or San Miao Zhong), Sammi Cheng's "I'm Not Happy" (or Wo Bu Kuai Le) and Jolin's "I Know You're Feeling Blue" (or Wo Zhi Dao Ni Heng Nan Guo).

Produced by, among others, Liu Tian Jian, Paula Ma, Huang Yi, Yuan Wei Ren and Jim Lee, her debut album features numerous music styles like Latin, R&B, rock, ballads and techno dance.  The first single cum title track "In The Sunshine" is a combination of Latin and funky rock.  The second single "Why Do I Love You So Much" is an easy listening R&B ballad.

The most note-worthy mention behind this current offering must be his pairing with Kelly Chan (or Chen Hui Lin) on a duet ballad "I Don't Love You Enough".  It seems to have become Andy's tradition to collaborate with someone prominent in the music biz whenever he comes out with a new release.  So far, he has worked alongside Kenny G, Koji Tamaki (or Yu Zhi Hao Er), the infamous Jacky Wu (or Wu Zhong Xian), Jim Brickman and Philippine's Sharon Cuneta.  There is also a solo version of "I Don't Love You Enough" contained here.

The promotion team of BMG Music has done a great job in stirring up the media's interest in the album as I have read and heard so much about the reportedly steamy music video between Andy and Kelly even before the album was released officially on 18 August 2000.

Most of the songs are easy-listening ballads and helmed by Hong Kong producer Chen De Jian.   Prominent song-writers who contribute to this album include Liu Tian Jian (side-note : his past works are mainly found in albums released by What's Music), Huang Zhong Yuan, Guo Zi, Li An Xiu, Phil Chang's wife Shi Yi Lang, Lin Dong Song, China singer/musician Li Quan, Xie Ming You and local composer Li Fei Hui.  

Andy himself also wrote the lyrics for two of the tracks here : "It's Not A Sin For Guys To Cry" (a ballad composed by Liu Tian Jian and highly recommended by BMG Music) and "Share The Use Of My Surname" (another ballad composed by Huang Zhong Yuan).
