WELCOME to my MIDI files page. I recorded these files in real time on my Yamaha Clavinova CLP-810S just as I would play them in the lounge and without the benefit of quantization. Everyone is free to download and enjoy them.

I always start and end my set with the theme song from the movie Chariots Of Fire . I play this piece in the key of C# and it has served as my warm-up piece as well. It sets my mood and prepares my left hand for the other difficult passages ahead. It is very effective ! ! !

Listen to my version of Where Do I Begin from Love Story, arranged like a Piano Concerto. Liberace, eat your heart out . . .

There are a good number of songs from the highly acclaimed musical Phantom of the Opera that I have included in my repertoire namely Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again , Music of the Night and All I Ask Of You . Adjuged Sir Andrew LLoyd Weber's most successful musical yet, the show is a huge hit among music lovers all over the world.

Lloyd-Webber's main competition in the West End music scene is Claude Marie Schoenberg, composer of Les Miserables & Miss Saigon. For your listening pleasure, I have put up together these powerful songs On My Own , I Dreamed A Dream , Do You Hear The People Sing and Empty Chairs At Empty Tables from Les Mis , Sun & Moon and The Last Night of the World from Miss Saigon.

Next to the theme from Titanic, the most requested song from my listeners in this first half of 1999 is entitled I Want to Spend My Lifetime Loving You. This song was taken from the Antonio Banderas movie, The Mask of Zorro.

One of my favourite contemporary Filipino songs is the song Kahit Na by Willy Cruz. George Canseco is my favourite Filipino pop music composer, though. I promise to give you more OPM songs in the future . . .

Love Changes Everything from Aspects of Love, also by Andrew Lloyd Webber for my friends and frequent visitors Ulrich & Brunhi Falta from Duisburg, Germany.

My childhood friend Michael Riggs, EAGLE to millions of his fans asked me to play live in "Magandang Umaga Po" (hosted by Korina Sanchez) for a surprise birthday celebration. This David Benoit piece was just released in the market so Michael had to buy a copy of the album that included When the Winter's Gone which happened to be Korina's favourite song, and so I studied the song the night before the actual performance. It was not a very easy piece to learn overnight but I can say that we managed to get through the live show. It was my first time to perform SOLO on national TV and I was really very nervous to be performing a piece I've just learned the night before right in front of one of our leading TV personalities. She was very pretty in person , I recall.

Who doesn't know the song Candle in the Wind ? This song was re-recorded by Sir Elton John to pay tribute to Diana, Princess of Wales who was untimely killed in a car accident in Paris two years back. Originally written for Marilyn Monroe, it is considered the most successful song of all time (in terms of sales).

The Sound of Music is one of the very first movies i saw as a young boy. Our parents brought us to see this movie over & over again and the songs here quickly registered into our minds and they were the first songs we learned and sang together in our old house. This version of mine is a medley of The Sound of Music, Do Re Mi, Eidelweiss & Climb Every Mountain. It brings back beautiful memories of my family singing together for our parents' friends & guests. God, I miss those times ! ! !

One of my wife Juliet's favourite songs is Can You Feel The Love Tonight from The Lion King. She loves the character "Simba" and she collects memorabilia (from Laser Discs to mouse pads) from this Disney animated movie.
