JESSE MYLES

Louisiana high school football fans are quite familiar with 6'0", 190 pound HLB senior who has delighted them now for three years. But, Jesse Myles insists there is more to his life than football.

Having already signed a grant-in-aid with LSU to compete on the gridiron, Jesse in now setting his sights on his current endeavor, basketball, and on track, his final chance for glory in high school.

Competing in high school sports isn't Jesse's only interests. Playing pool and tennis, fishing and hunting also take up some of his time. In fact, if he wasn't committed to compete on the track in the spring, Jesse admits that he'd be glad to play either baseball or tennis.

Jesse is involved in several extracurricular activities which include the Varsity Club and FCA, in which he serves as treasurer. He also realizes that in high school, as well as college, athletics is ranked second to academics. "At LSU, it will be my classes first, and football second," was Jesse's comment on the subject.

Throughout his senior year, Jesse was rivaled by Johnny Hector, the New Iberia running back who also signed with LSU. Everyone asks, who better player? To that Jesse modestly responds, "we'll see."
