Mrs. Watkins "The greater percentage of the students at HLB are cooperative, honest and interested in obtaining a good education and making HLB the best school possible," were the words of Mrs. Evelyn Watkins in describing the attitude of students here at HLB. Mrs. Watkins has been teaching for 21 years. Mrs. Watkins is a proud graduate of McCool Mississippi. She was valedictorian of her class. After graduation she went to the University of Southern Mississippi and got her degree in Music Education. She then received her masters at Nicholls in supervision. Mrs. Watkins is working on her 30+ this summer. In her spare time, she loves playing the piano and church organ, accompanying the Chior at HLB, sewing and camping. |
Coach Sullivan "The association with young people and competion in athletics," was Coach Herman Sullivan's comment about teaching here at HLB. Coach "Buzzy" Sullivan went to Northwestern State University and majored in P.E. He also went to Nicholls and graduated with a masters degree in P.E. Here at HLB he teaches, Driver's Education and is a coach for the Varsity Track and Senior Varsity football teams. In his spare time he enjoys hunting and fishing. |
