A
eventual bagunceira e insegura Tara conheceu Willow numa reunião
escolar Wicca. Como Oz deixou Sunnydale recentemente, Willow tornou-se
disponível e pronta para novas experiências. Ambos
entenderam-se imediatamente em razão do interesse comum em
bruxaria e feitiços. Aparentemente, Tara é a filha
de uma poderosa bruxa que morreu quando ela ainda era criança.
Desconhecido para Willow, diz-se também de Tara (em razão
de uma lenda da família) que se transforma em demônio
enquanto se desenvolve como mulher. Felizmente para ambos, era somente
uma mentira dita pelos homens da família de Tara para manter
sob controle as pequenas bruxas.

salvaram Sunnydale. Entretanto demorou muito tempo para que Willow
admitisse para suas amigas que havia encontrado este parceiro gay.
Como resultado, Tara zangou-se um pouco e elas retiram-se das Slayerettes.
Tara foi imediatamente bem vinda no seio da gangue. Outra quebra no
relacionamento com a qual Tara se defrontou foi quando Oz reiterou
seu amor por Willow. Felizmente Willow explicou ao seu ex namorado
cabeludo que ela estava apaixonada por Tara.
