Biografia Anthony Stewart Head

Anthony Stewart Head - Talentoso e bastante reconhecido ator em seu país, Inglaterra, o que o tornou popular nos EUA foram em comerciais de uma marca de café. Atuou no seriado VR-5 e teve participações nas séries "Highlander" e "Nova York contra o crime". Participou também de vários filmes e produções para tv. Nascido em Candlentown, cresceu na cidade de Hampton e ingressou na Academia de Música e Artes Dramáticas de Londres.

Nasceu como sendo um prodigioso Vigilante, Rupert Giles assumiu o treinamento de Buffy como Caçadora, guiando-a quando mudou-se para Sunnydale após Merrick, seu Watcher (Vigilante) anterior, ter sido morto. Após freqüentar a Universidade de Oxford, Giles sonhava em se tornar um piloto de guerra ou então dono de mercearia. Infelizmente, ele foi obrigado a abraçar o negócio familiar de formação de Caçadores. Mesmo após sua tentativa de romper radicalmente com seu destino ao tornar-se Ripper, o perseguidor de demônios, seu conhecimento (e o Watchers Council - Conselho dos Vigilantes) finalmente o colocam novamente na trilha correta. Logo a mudar-se para Sunnydale, Giles era o bibliotecário do colégio de

Sunnydale e cujo único propósito era treinar e guiar a recente incorporada Buffy na trilha dos Caçadores. Seu relacionamento com a Buffy finalmente tornou-se muito mais intenso do típico aluno/estudante e entre um Vigilante e Caçadora. De fato, pode-se dizer que atualmente Giles representa a figura paterna, pois seu verdadeiro pai mora em Los Ângeles e ela raramente o vê. Lamentavelmente, o Watchers Council (Conselho dos Vigilantes) repreendeu Giles por ter dito a Buffy que ele teria de anular temporariamente seus poderes, podendo ela assim participar do seu ritual de 18º aniversário. O Conselho, severamente, enviou um novo Vigilante de nome Wesley Wyndam-Price para assumir ativamente os deveres de Vigilante para Buffy. Entretanto Giles permaneceu em Sunnydale, e com seu enorme conhecimento continua ajudando nossa heroína. Por ser uma pessoa incomum, Giles teve apenas alguns encontros com mulheres em Sunnydale incluindo Jenny Calender, a professora de informática do Colégio de Sunnydale, e Olivia, sua antiga namorada da Inglaterra. Após um longo período como desempregado, Giles empregou-se como cantor no Expresso Pump e então adquiriu o Magic Box.
