First International Baseggio Family Reunion
Great emotions, happiness and fine Italian food - that was the First International Baseggio Family Reunion in Brasil.
From November 12 to 14 the members of the Baseggio families gathered in Concórdia (SC). Besides the hosts there were cousins from Porto Alegre (RS), Carlos Barbosa (RS), Passo Fundo (RS), Florianópolis (SC) Caçador (SC), Bal Camboriú (SC), Meia-Praia-Itapema (SC), Pontra Grossa (PR), Curitiba (PR), Francisco Beltrão (PR), S. Gabriel (MS), Campo Grande (RS), S. Paulo (SP), Brasilia (DF) and Zurich (Switzerland, via video conference). We had a dancing party on Saturday, an Italian sung Mass on Sunday, a fire spectacle and a showroom with antique documents and family pictures. The success of the event was such that it was decided that in 2005 the Second International Baseggio Family Reunion will take place in Passo Fundo (RS) from September 3 to 4. The city of Caçador (SC) is a candidate for the Third Reunion, of which the exact date has to be defined.
