"I was in Canada - city of Hamilton - for about 3 months (May to July/2000) studying English in preparation for TOEFL in a special school for adult learning. In the school I was able to learn proper English, because they teach more than just grammar as in most schools. I had conversation classes, text interpretation, reading, grammar, writing and multimedia lab with special English computer programs. The teachers are really great and I made a lot of friends from different countries.
In these 3 months I lived with a wonderful Canadian family and I lived the Canadian culture day by day. For sure living with a Canadian family was fundamental for achieving my English fluency quickly.
I also visited incredible places like Niagara Falls, the most fascinating waterfall I“ve ever seen; Niagara on the Lake, a picturesque village; Toronto, which is very modern; Canada“s Wonderland, an amusement park with different roller coasters, 3-D cinemas etc; Marineland, which is a park that has shows with marine animals and also the biggest roller coaster in the world, it was a great experience. I went to museums, castles, parks and many other places.
During my stay in Canada, I had contact with CBIC whenever I needed it. Sulivan gave me excellent tips about the city, tourist attractions to visit, libraries, places to get free internet access, etc. Whenever I needed help it was there. Many thanks to CBIC and Sulivan for your support during my stay in Canada".
