Orphanage
Lar de Ismael
Abandoned children well brought up will be well-structured
adults. Sao Paulo has
hundreds of thousands of desperate, needy children who will end up in the
streets if a program like ours does not succeed.
The Government resources and assistance is limited or non-existent.
About
Us
We
are a legally registered Brazilian non-profit group of volunteers
maintained by donations. We are
located in the poor suburbs of Sao Paulo (Brazil’s largest city with over
12 million inhabitants). We currently assist 26 children aged 6 months to
16 years old. These
abandoned/orphaned children (some having AIDS infected parents) have great
social and personal difficulties.
We own a 5 acre (20,000 square meters) plot of land. Through generous donations we have built
four homes on this property.
Goals
is to build infrastructure on this land with:
-
A main building with classrooms, laundry and
doctor’s office
-
Total of 10 homes to expand the facility to more
needy children
-
Bakery with fresh bread for the kids
-
Yard for vegetable garden and fruit plantation
-
Playground
